Born in Kolkatta in 1958, he has studied at the Govt. College of Arts & Crafts, Kolkatta. He has held several one man exhibitions and has participated in many group shows in India and abroad. Besides being a painter, Sanjay is a gifted singer and an accomplished poet with two books of poems authored by his to his credit.
